Ok so I am new to this blogging thing on my site. Hopefully, it is not wonky and requires no editing.

Ultimately, I would love to blog more, especially as the holidays are here and I won't have new pages to post before the end of the year. Blogging is a good way to stay active. THAT SAID...I am still going to be active but it will be to digitally color the 72 pages I have up.

72 pages is 6 chapters because they are 12 pages each. A normal comic is 20-24 usually and a webcomic tends to be 1 page a week. Well I did not want to simply do one page a week or 4 a month. I also wanted to work traditionally and make painting a big part of my process. There has been a huge learning curve in all of this in the sense that I am trying to figure out a good work flow that is enjoyable for myself.

I love the process and I love art, especially painting. I am a painter by trade, as in commercial with a sprayer a lot of times. But painting and drawing was my literal college BFA concentration. Watercolor is my baby and color is my lifeblood. Which is why I am actually just going to color this digitally and use a watercolor aesthetic. Future blog posts I might talk more about that decision and process but for now that is the update.

Additionally, I am going to try to post in more places to get readers. I've been wary of it because I wanted enough content for people to sink their teeth into. The story isn't read for some kind of printing unless I started printing each chapter as a zine, but that will get away from me quite quickly as I will be printing so much faster than I can sell. The readership isn't there yet to justify it. I am sure I would sell some, and they wouldn't go bad. They could sit in my shop but whatever. The point is that is an extra unnecessary task when I am full to the brim to get 12 pages monthly and now adding color.

Fuck it. I'll explain like I said I wasn't going to. I want to get work as a colorist. Digital is basically the only way to go on that. That would ultimately free me up from my very exhausting construction job as a painter and get my name out there more so that people might read this in greater numbers. It will more art which will push me to get better at the craft and as long as I am not so busy trying to color a whole book every week I could actually chug along on this one, which will be a long ass book. Or rather several long ass books. Maybe 1200 pages total. Who the hell knows.

That's all for now. I love you. Even though you don't understand what Illuminatty Ice means.
